Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

- Matthew 19:14

Kamphaeng Phet

To God be the glory and we are very grateful to Him for this outreach. Overall, our Team was able to reach out to 10 schools in the Kamphaeng Phet province. The province is 4-hours from Bangkok by car. We would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support in this outreach.

On these evangelistic outreaches, we normally utilise church contacts within the local area. However, with this outreach, our school contacts were done through 3 local Christians with a burden to see to see the children in Kamphaeng Phet, including their own, come to Christ and learn about His love. These three contacts in the province were also trained by John and Nok at the Prathumthani Church's CPM (Church Planting Movement) Centre.

There is no actual, physical church in the area, but our brothers and sisters in Christ make due by conducting home fellowships at P'Nit's house. (our CPM contact in the province) From there, they encourage one another, visit neighbours and pray for those who are sick in their community.

For this outreach, we presented the true meaning of Christmas to the children; through this, they may know that Jesus came to Earth for all, and that they too, can celebrate Christmas. We always end the outreach with a muppet performance, "Christmas Day's present", which tells the story of Jesus' birth- and although we were weeks away from Christmas, over 2,400 students from 10 different schools were in a celebrant and joyous mood as they joined in with the cheerful Christmas spirit.

We saw that the children were touched by the love of Jesus through the story of Jesus and His sacrifice. To many, it was the very first time they have been able to learn about the true meaning of Christmas: Not a celebration that is exclusively for Westerners. Christmas is for all race and nations, for it is the day that the love of God arrived on this world, and through that love, Jesus sacrificed Himself to pay a ransom of death for our sins.
